Dr. Gunn has one M.A. in Phenomenological Psychology, another M.A. in Forensic Psychology and her Doctorate of Psychology in Clinical Psychology. She also completed a two-year certificate program to specialize in Eating Disorders, Addictions and Compulsivity. She is a member of the American Psychological Association and an Affiliate of the William Alanson White Institute. She is the former Psychology Internship Training Director and Clinical Supervisor of the Trauma Program at the Karen Horney Clinic in Manhattan. Dr. Gunn also has a private practice in Manhattan where she specializes in Trauma, Eating Disorders, Alternative Lifestyles, Interpersonal Problems, Sports Psychology as well as a variety of other psychological disorders. She also works as a consultant conducting intake interviews and psychological evaluations for prospective adoptive parents. She is a faculty member at the New York Institute for Psychotherapy Training. Dr. Gunn works with individuals and couples.

Dr. Gunn is Madison Who’s Who Woman of the year for 2009-2010. She has given seminars on Shame, Guilt and Empathy and the way these affect states mediate how a patients’ symptoms will manifest. Dr. Gunn has been interviewed by New York Times Magazine for her work with people with alternative lifestyles. She was the health and sports psychology writer and consultant for SoBe International magazine.
